
My Saturday Summer Classroom for Multi-Media Art at Central Texas College
I am a professor at Central Texas College in the Continuing Education department. Our summer class consisted of 12-17 year olds who were accomplished artists looking to explore new artistic boundaries. Throughout the course, we delved into form, sculpture, and various multimedia mediums. In preparation for the art show on July 20th, we collectively pitched and selected the theme "eco-culture" with a focus on a world surrounded by a trash ring. To build our structure, we used a yoga ball and foam as the base, while the students painted and attached trash to the foam ring. Additionally, we spent some of our time creating clay sculptures, as shown below.
